Morning ride - 3rd Jan. Winchfield, Greywell, Upton Grey, Newnham & Rotherwick - 22 miles

Much colder today than the last few days. There was even a little light snow in the air again but it didn't come to anything. Decided on the following route which I have done before with a slight variation. Not the easiest of rides as there are climbs up to Upton Grey and Newnham which always require a bit of extra effort, but equally there are down hill runs that help with the average speed!
Up over the M3 to Winchfield, past it's Church and up Bagwell Lane towards Odiham. Crossing over the canal and heading up Odiham High Street on a gradual uphill climb. Down though Greywell and the up again onto a high ridge that offers good views, particualrly south towards Upton Grey.
Up higher towards Tunworth and then a gradual descent again down Tunworth Road into Mapledurwell. Crossing over the M3 and passing through the village of Andwell brings you out onto the A30. From here it's possible to cross over the dual carriageway and ride towards Newnham Lane. A climb from hear towards Newnham Green and thence to Rotherwick and home.
